Havelfurt is the seat of the Baron Of Havelfurt who is a vassal of the Duke of Midwald.

The town is governed by Town Council consisting or the heads of the local guilds and religious orders together with a Town Constable who is responsible for the towns defence.

History

The Dieffental Marsh to the south of Havelfurt was the site of a major battle in the time of Magnus The Pious.

The town was also the home of the famous Witch Hunter Gerlinde Sigloben (Witch Hunter Captain) and is the birthplace of her daughter Else Sigloben

Geography

Havelfoot sits on the north bank of the river Tahme which forms the western border between the Duchy of Midwald and the Duchy of Tahme. The immediately area around the town has been cleared of trees and is used as gazing by local shepherds.
To the south on the far side of the river lies Dieffental Marsh, once the site of a major battle in the time of Magnus The Pious and now rumoured to be found the home of a Fenbeast known locally as ‘The Hollowed Old Son’
