Lilith was born and raised in a Emeraldese. She is the youngest of four sisters. Her family has status and wealth enough to live comfortably, and that was good enough for her. As one of the “lesser” nobles, she understands the importance of maintaining appearances and not attracting the wrong sort of attention. Her sisters, however, always dreamed of elevating their station and were willing to do whatever they needed to get it. She currently only speaks to one of them for this.

Aaron met Lilith when he was 20 years old, at a business meeting. He was taken with that she was one of the few people in the room not intimidated by him. At first, they sent letters to each other. Then they began meeting in secret to avoid a scandal. Finally, they chose to make their relationship public by living together.
