Halfling

Halflings aren’t unheard of in Winderia, but they are not that common. While they have established some footholds within the walls of several city-states, they prefer nomadic lives across the plains. They operate a large number of the caravans that move merchandise up and down the Highway. Outside of those, many halflings within the larger cities perform odd jobs and get by as necessary.
Lightfoot halflings most often serve as the figureheads and mouthpieces of halfling caravans, as well as performers, pickpockets, and con artists in larger metropolitan areas. Stout halflings provide greater strength and security to caravans, and they sometimes serve as more daring burglars. In rare instances, some are surprising assassins. However, the two subraces have extensively intermingled in Winderia and are about as common as each other.
