Irzak Pass
This isthmus is the only land connection between Winderia and the rest of mainland Cüro. The pass divides Serpent Sound from the southern body of the Joral Ocean. The pass gradually lowers in elevation from the steep cliffs of Winderia to the beaches of Zoreth—the favored land of Cyric and the most immediate threat to Mystra's realm. Only a few miles long and very narrow, Irzak Pass is a natural bottleneck against invasion, and the terrain bears the scars of many battles to push back Cyric’s devotees.
On the northern shore of Irzak Pass, approximately halfway between the mainland and the peninsula, one can find what can generously be described as a port. Decrepit docks were long ago abandoned by Mur and are barely maintained by the clerics of the Dark Sun. Few ships make their way to those docks, as Biura has secured passage through Serpent Sound. Instead of port trade, Mur has focused its efforts on securing the western end of the pass. An increasing number of stone walls, rough forts, and other barricades are popping up across Irzak Pass.
