The High Forest

The High Forest spans most of the northern region of Winderia, pressing almost to the coastline in many places. The forest transitions from mostly deciduous trees on the southern edge to hearty conifers in the north, where the harshest winter conditions are found on the peninsula. It hosts a great diversity of flora and fauna, and anyone traveling through the forest will inevitably find a number of clear, still pools of water that resemble glass. The forest is the ancestral home of the elves in Winderia, and unlike many of the elves in other kingdoms of Cüro, they are rather hospitable to the other civilized races in the forest.
