Evocation in Material Form

This staff represents the power of evocation a fragment of Mystra's spirit coalesced into material form. The city of Mur was founded on the spot this staff appeared to spring forth from the ground of Winderia. It appears as a smooth oaken staff with a head that continually fluxes among types of energy (fire, ice, lightning, and acid). The head of the staff flashes with the same energy of any evocation spell cast by the wielder.
Only a 20th-level wizard devoted to the arcane tradition of evocation may attempt to attune with this staff. This can only occur after they have gained the approval of Mystra as the next Evoker of the Eight and wielder of Wrath, typically by completing a grand quest on her behalf. The staff dramatically increases the wielder's magical capabilities, particularly in the use of evocation magic. However, the wielder cannot stray too far from the staff or suffer sever consequences.
Once a creature attunes to Wrath, the attunement cannot be broken unless the wielder dies or the staff is destroyed.
