Gerhart Weiss
Gerhart Weiss is a Woodangian activist and politician running for Prime Minister in The 2024 Parliamentary Race. Weiss is the founder of the The Green Party.

Personal history
Gerhart Weiss was born in Garrett's Folly, Niccadia, to a promenant family, and grew up on his grandparents farm. He developed a deep love of nature and felt compelled to protect it by any means. Weiss would eventually join the Environmental Conservation Organization, whom he would work for for over 3 decades, eventually becoming the head of ECO. During his time as ECO's chief he increased its militarization and radicalization, useing his ties to the Workers Party to gain approval for ECO to begin extrajudicial killings of suspected poachers.
After retireing from ECO Weiss became a politician, being elected as Niccadia's Govenor. In his role as Govenor Weiss reduced pollution immensely. During the Woodangian Civil War Weiss declared Niccadia's loyalty to the Worker's Party of Woodangees. During the war Wünenburg was sacked and burned by the navy, devistating the city, this on top of the rumors the army had spread during Operation Wheat From Chaff that it had salted Tynicas farmland cause Weiss to withdraw from the war, declaring Niccadia an independant republic. This Independance would be short lived, with the rest of red forces surrendering not long after. Even after the war was declared over Weiss refused to rejoin Woodangees, until both the navy and army surrounded Wünenburg, forcing Weiss to accept an agreement to back down in exchange for a pardon.
After being Pardoned Weiss used the recent legalization of new political parties to form the Green party, vowing to rebuild Wodangees's natural beauty and farmlands. As of the most recent poll Weiss is the leading canidate for Prime Minister.
