Odette Marceline is a spoiled, arrogant passionate, violent woman who likes to have things her way. She and her former paramour Sir Marcus Archambault, lived a hedonistic life separated from the plight of the common changeling. She has a powerful command of several fae arts including a mastery of Soverign which helps her to get her way.
Marceline was raised in the Kingdom of Willows and rose to power in 2005-2006, during the cleanup of hurricane Katrina, while the grump Dougal Count Robicheaux slowly fell to banality. She swooped in and took credit for what was largely his work. At first everyone was excited for Marceline was young, energetic and spontaneous – all things that Robicheaux was not.
All too soon her darker side emerged, but only after she had built up plenty of power and admirers to shield herself. She ruled Heart of Fire until attacked on the Night of Iron Retribution when Heart of Fire's balefire was snuffed. She moved the County Freehold to Riverwatch in Baton Rouge, building a large standing guard and grooming circles of adoring fans until the fae of Forbidden Secrets started to interfere.
Her downfall was engineered by the PCs just before Solstice 2020, where the crimes of her court were exposed, including a statue that murdered fae turning them into dross. She called this statue to her bidding, wearing it like a mech-suit armor and escaping with a cadre of loyal oathed followers.
