Councilor Davinus Marrigold
Minister of Common Affairs (a.k.a. Kingpin)
Davinus was born into the Snowbod family in Mistral and married into the Marrigold Family at the age of 34 where he pretty much became the leader of the Political side of the Family. Davinus is a known Human Supremacist thanks to his origin in the Mistral Elite and their severe hatred of Faunus. He was elected in 56 AGW and has severed many terms as Councilor of Common Affairs. He has voted for multiple Human Supremacist Policies and acts and is often the one drafting them.
he's very popular with Fiscal Conservatives, Human Supremacists and Nationalism, often stating that Populism is the missing ingredient to Atlas' political system that would unlock its 'greatness'. Like all Populists, he crushes LGBTQ+ and Racial Minorities to prop up his popular positions and bring a backlash against the 'ungrateful'. He's backed by Jacque Schnee who donates to his campaign in big ways almost every election which helps Davinus win huge in the Government.
He has a bad relationship with ironwood, and though he appreciates James' Authoritarian Approaches he dislikes the General's acceptance of Faunus into his ranks and the embracing of LGBTQ+ Minorities as well. The two often butt heads with Davinus denouncing James as not doing enough about the Grimm threat and being an incompetent Military leader which is not a popular position with many Campaign advisors telling Davinus to not do that.
Other than being a generally terrible person, Davinus is also a prominent member of the Human Purity League and is identified as a Stochastic Terrorist by Whitecliffe's Counter Terrorist Agencies. He is very popular in the League and helped its founder establish the league in response to the White Fang. He often uses the Whtie Fang as a propaganda piece to justify his own evil Politics.
As such he has wide appeal across the Globe with Human Supremacists and can be seen giving speeches at events and conventions, spreading his ideology to other Nations. Whitecliffe banned him from speaking in Whitecliffe in 77 AGW and threatened arrest if he advocates the death of Faunus Nationals Again. This caused a political Scandal which worsened the Relationship between Atlas and Whitecliffe.
Much of his foreign policy involves destroying Whitecliffe, believing that the Atlas Military must crush the Sister nation forever and purify the city of it's 'taint'.
