Crater Sea

The Crater Sea is formed by Delryn and the Empire proper. It touches four countries and two continents. It is a fairly warm sea, with very low salinity. It is also relatively shallow, with a defined crater-shaped basin.

Phenomena

The Crater sea is known and named for its shape, both the round perimeter and the rounded crater-style basin that forms the sea floor. Additionally, over the centuries it has become known for its difficulty of crossing. Though it is a relatively small body of water and travel across it should be straightforward, it has been a very long time since anyone tried and made it successfully across to tell the tale. Those who venture in and come back out before they disappear tell stories of storms that sink boats, waves the size of the biggest ships, fog so dense you lose yourself, sea monsters, and more.
