Cobalt

Cobalt, in its raw form, is a blueish silver metal often mistaken for platinum or true silver. When the third moon of Stendaaris, Zephyr'Lyra, was destroyed, it scattered remnants that altered the properties of materials found in its wake. Among these was Cobalt, which gained unique magical properties due to the cataclysmic event. Cobalt is now highly sought after for creating magical weapons and tools.

Material Characteristics

Cobalt's blueish silver form can be ionized into a blue powder known as Cobalt Residuum, used for various arcane purposes.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Cobalt is directly linked to the Dwaves in the Kingdom of Rhineforrel prior to their abandonment of the great city of Rhineforrel.

Refinement

Cobalt is refined through various processes, including extracting from marble blocks, processing into residuum, and smelting into metalworks. The new methods incorporate the unique properties derived from Zephyr'Lyra remnants.

Used in crafting magical weapons, the process of making Ancestral Cobalt Anvils remains lost. The resurgence of Ghost Iron, believed to originate from the Shadowfell during the recent planar convergence, has enhanced Cobalt's applications.
