The Walk

When mothers are pregnant they are expected to walk through each of the 4 pits every day. This serves three purposes; the first being the belief that exercise is good for the baby’s wellbeing, the second being that the sight of a pregnant woman is a huge morale boost to the dwarven workers, and the third being the determination of the child’s sign. If a child is born during The Walk, depending upon where they are born, their future profession will be determined. • North Pit – The Slayers  • West Pit – Miner • South Pit – Trader • East Pit – Soldier
