Seeking the Dome of Heaven

Arc 1: XOA 1: We've Not Been Properly Introduced - The Team seeks to gain some sort of footing to legitimize their cover and enter Hegemony Space without raising too much of a fuss.
Arc 2: XOA 2: Project Gilead - The Team has seemingly gained the trust of The Pirate Queen of Serenity's Reach by springing The Klehnak from the penal system of Frye. Suddenly they find themselves working with the Pirate Queen while searching for the answers to a Darkrider stricken criminal in a system called Phenomena which is just a myth...
Arc 3: XOA 3: The Questing Portal aka Holes has opened up with the Team finding out that Claudia is the Pirate Queen and they help her with a military rebellion before heading for Freeport.
Arc 4: XOA 4: Invasion Equation focuses on their trip to Freeport - and their first meeting with The Blight, an enemy of truly extradimensional reach.
Arc 5: XOA 5: Giants Among Us is just about to unfold...
Structure
Exposition
The Team has just finished vanquishing Aurelius and have developed diplomatic relations with WTC Earth. During this time, they have analyzed their information and have determined where the Dome of Heaven, or an entrance to it, may be - if it still exists.
Their journey must take them to the heart of the Aether Sea, home of the Royal Hegemony, a place of numerous planets with six major sentient species and a technology that is based upon magic. Their strategy is to slowly approach Homeworld, apparently a magically burned out husk which this cradle of sentient-kind, known as The Folk, fled from.
They decide to use the Lady of the Blue because she fits in - or is able to fit in - as their base of operations known here as an AetherShip - a wooden space faring vessel.
Conflict
They have managed to find out where the most likely location of or entrance to the Dome of Heaven, at the very heart of the Royal Hegemony. They know that their technology is different from the residents of the Aether Sea and after months of strategic forays and assessments and decide that the Royal Families would attempt to use them as a pawn in their ongoing machinations. Until they find out what happened to the Dome of Heaven, it's best that their existence remain a secret.
The characters take up shop in one of the most remote locations of
Rising Action
Subterfuge is required, which means interactions with less savory elements, including prolonged interaction at the frontiers of the Aether Sea.
