Kiran Duchta
Kiran was born close to Ryndhdorvs as third son of a devout family. While his eldes brother took over the farm, he and his other brother were sent to the local Caldis temple to serve the temple and maybe even become priests.
Kiran though was more of an adventurer than a pious cleric and he had a hard time sitting quietly around and listen to the lessons about the pantheon. So while he was thankful for the opportunities the church offered it was soon clear that his path would not lead to a clerical position. The priest instead sent him to Eversted to serve the church there. The church there spent some time in training him to serve as a bodyguard for clerics on the road. Due to his approachable demenor he also established a network of informants that kept him well informed about things happening around town. Looking for candidates for her experiment the Alchemist chose Kiran in 436 to partake in the ritual to turn him into a bloodhunter based on her previous experience with Bloddwyn Bluainach. After the successful mutation he joined her on return to Rykthaven to continue her research. He was further trained by Farkasz and to some minor degree by the original blood hunter Bloddwyn Bluainach until Bloddwyn fled the town following the death of the Caldis priest Adelberg van Kymden and an assault on the reaver compound. The alchemist informed the town council as well as Sjenna and Kiran about Bloddwyn together with his childhood friends had murdered Adelberg. For the next two years Sjenna and Kiran kept training under Farkasz guidance while gathering experience hunting monsters. Later when Zeykk joined the introduced him into the ranks. By this time Kiran had established a solid network of informants in the town and became the usual contact point for those seeking the help of the blood hunters. Yet their lack of experience made them no match for the rising evil in Rykthaven. In 438 YoU Bloddwyn's return marked a changing of the tides. As the alchemist agreed to a truce with Bloddwyn the blood hunters saw themselves forced to work again with their former brother, even though they resented him for the murder. During the Cleansing Kiran lead Ysolde van Sperr and Rudigaer Splinterbane hunting for cultists, yet during the night they found themselves outnumbered and nearily overwhelmed. Fighting the cultist leader Kiran was knocked out as he tried to save Ysolde. When he came back to consciousness Farkasz had come to their rescue saving the three from certain death. By earily 442 YoU Kiran had come to terms with having to work with Bloddwyn as the young man kept fighting at their side against the dangers for the town. Also by this time the alchemist expected Kiran's abilities to have peaked and she didn't expect him to develop further as blood hunter. When Bloddwyn suggested to finally kill Obus Beq Kiran and the other blood hunters distracted a significant part of the demons on the path to the mansion to create an opening for Bloddwyn and his companions.
