Aavar, God of Gods
Aavar is the most significant deity in Apalian and a number of other religions. Aavar, God of Gods, is seen as the creator of the Yonderverse and everything in it, and is omniscient, omnipotent, and a benevolent being.
Many religions across the Yonderverse have a deity similar to Aavar, but this article will focus on their presentation in Apalian.
Creation Mythologies
There are several variations of the creation of the Yonderverse in Apalian, but all feature Aavar in some form or another. Some believers say that Aavar is the Yonderverse, and that when Aavar emerged from their cocoon in the Centre of the Yonderverse, everything unfolded and galaxies, solar system, planets, and peoples began spilling out.
Other creation stories say that Aavar was born into an empty plane, and their imagination coupled with isolation led to them creating the Yonderverse and anything within it. Some believe that Aavar came from a complete other universe, and upon arriving in the Yonderverse saw it in a horrific state, so they washed away all sins and cleansed the world.
Worship
Aavar is the most worshipped deity in the entire Yonderverse, simply due to how far Apalian has spread throughout space. Apalins have spread this religion from its home planet, Cilvarth, into the entirety of District 2 and even District 1 and part of District 3 of Aavar's River. In fact, Aavar's River was named after this deity, as the river holds every single galaxy in the Yonderverse, an oasis in what is mostly a barren void.
Greater Oasis
Approximately 75% of Apalins are from the Greater Oasis, a small section of the Milky Way. This bustling sector of the galaxy contains 90% of all sophonts in the Milky Way, so it's unsurprising that most Apalins are found here. Most of these Apalins are found in the Trimite Cluster, a group of countless solar systems that include many famous names such as the Kurhira, Cheem, and the Ria System.
