Marog
An Imperialist exprog species uplifted by the Kaechulugg in 1124.
As a primitive species, they were invaded by the dwindling Kaechulugg Empire. The Kaechulugg were impressed with their strategy and barbarism in their resistance, despite barely qualifying as a spacefaring species. They were conquered in time but were uplifted by their invaders. In exchange for their service to their Empire, they were given technology, weapons, planets, and slaves beyond their imagination.
Despite the reputation for exprog species, Marogans have proven fast to adapt to the advanced technology offered to them, have clung to their cultural identity and expanded influence (albeit with respect and disdain for the Kaechuulug), and even hold their sovereignty over many worlds.
The Marogans now serve Soddorom's Empire, being the last of the Kaechulugg. They act as the primary muscle in Soddorom's campaign against Agapara. They occupy the planet in force, rooting out resistance, quelling unrest, and transitioning power.
They see themselves as the successors to the Kaechulugg as the supreme species in the galaxy, which often puts them at odds with the Sons of Soddorom.
They have ranked highly in the Allied Galactic Federation's database of threats.
