Mythology & Lore
During a winter night, Owyn had a vision about the moon crushing on the planet, That vision was the cause to his conversion.
He believed that the end of the world as he knew it was close, and the only way for mankind to survive was to stay together and help each other. The Sons of the Winter Moon took the oath to aid those in need and allow mankind to withstand the cataclysm.
Divine Origins
The Sons of the Winter Moon follow the teachings of Owyn the Pious, who was a merchant who had a spiritual awakening, and gave to those in need everything he had. He moved from his palace in the old city to a barrack in Westgate. He started begging for money in the Plaza of the Four Temples, and used the money he earned to buy food for those who couldn't afford it. Thanks to his religious spirit, he gained the ability to use divine magic to heal the sick and generate food for the poor. He used to teach his followers about the need to help the poor, and when he died his teachings were written in the Book of the Winter Moon.
