Galira Eldonnian

A wood elf and mother of Onas Eldannion. She works multiple jobs as waitresses and baristas in order to provide for her and her son. Despite the poor hand life has dealt her, she is a friendly, positive woman who is very well liked by the members of her community.   She has high opinions of Rodriega Showadon and is grateful that the wizard decided to take in her son and provide him an education and opportunity for a better life. She is concerned for her son's shyness and mental health, but believes the trauma of losing his father is affecting his thinking and has little time to follow through with her son's feelings.

Personal history

Galira was originally a slave in Azure'Nethal before the founding of the Empire. Like many other non-humans, her family was liberated by the rise of the Empire. A few years later, after the annexation of Brekor, she and her husband moved to Karlodar with their son, Onas, in search of opportunity. Galira got a job as a middle-manager in a factory, while her husband was conscripted into the military. Unfortunently, things turned for the worse when her husband died in the siege of Casal Issilideth, causing her son to close himself off, especially from other elves. Karlodar's secession also caused her to lose her job, since she was replaced with a dwarf by the factory, despite the promises Brekor made to continue protecting the rights of minorities. Galira struggled to get by, and things became their worse when Onas became very ill. With little other place to go, she went to local celebrity, Rodriega Showadon, who practiced medicine for free for those in need. There, Rodriega noticed Onas's intelligence and talent. Galira jumped at the chance for her son to have a chance at a better life and encouraged Onas to become her apprentice. Rodriega offered to completely provide for both her and Onas in exchange, but Galira, still remembering her days as a slave, was proud enough to continue working and not become too indebted to the wizard.
