Frida
Frida is the shaman of Vilaba, and often acts as its de facto mayor.
Like most bearfolk called to shamanhood, she is significantly shorter than most adult bearfolk at just under seven feet of height, slimmer by a few hundred pounds, and has much browner fur than arctic white of her brethren. Age has added a few splashes of greyer fur around her throat and temples, and her speech and gait are equally slow and deliberate. The steel plates of her armor are padded and decorated with grey wolf fur, but are also mostly covered by an almost robe-like hooded tabard with the symbol of The Stag God dyed into the hemp fabric, and the chainmail has been treated with a forest green patina.
Frida has earned a reputation for her cautious counsel, but the growing threat of Peko's wolves has been leaving her increasingly anxious and short on patience.
Mental characteristics
Gender Identity
Frida is feminine in the sense that she has birthed two cubs and the Common language assigns her grammatically feminine words. Like most bearfolk, she is largely apathetic on the notion of gender.
Sexuality
Frida has aged well past any urges to mate, but isn't above unwinding with a drunken cuddle with a young male on special occasions. A hairy enough softskin will do, too, if the mood is right.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Frida's only goals are to keep Vilaba and her people safe and do so in a way that doesn't destroy the forests they depend on to exist. All other concerns are completely secondary.
