Moatilliata
Moatilliata is the Goddess of Truth, and represents impartial and dispassionate searches for and revelations of the truth. She is the light that dispels the shadows and reveals the hidden. A follower of Moatilliata upholds the ideals of honesty and truth, regardless of who may be harmed or what negative consequences there may be. Her clergy lose all powers related to their class after knowingly speaking a single lie, and must perform a ritual of atonement in order to regain them.
Moatilliata is the lover of Ailsa Nadezhda, and their relationship (and pairing of Mercy and Truth) is used by some worshipers to represent love between women as being somehow more pure and honest than other forms of love. Symbols representing some combination of their symbols are often used in jewelry used as gifts of friendship or courtship between women. One popular form of these symbols is an eight-legged swastika.
Moatilliata is opposed by her brother Etel, God of Lies.
Moatilliata herself is usually depicted as a pale woman with blond hair so bright as to appear white, which gently floats around her. She is surrounded by a nimbus of gently glowing light which becomes increasingly difficult to look at as a person's dishonesty grows.
