Relationship Ideals
Bellica + Major
The Bellica-Major pairing in Athering is seen as the highest standard of loyalty, and one to which aspiration is worthy. This is exemplified by the myth of Jared, the Major who stood by his Bellica when all lost faith in her, even herself. He is considered the pinnacle of the Major profession, and who all Majors should aspire to be like.Queen + Consort
Mirroring the Bellica-Major relationship is that between Queen and Consort. While the Queen of Athering is free to take however many lovers (of either gender) she wishes, only one can be Consort at a time, and it is he who will father her children. This relationship is the bedrock of love and loyalty upon which all others in Athering are based. If the Queen and Consort are healthy and happy, so will their subjects be.
