Zarqonian Terran
As living in space changed humanity, so did living on different planets. The Zarqonians thought they were the same as their ancestors, but millennia of life upon a different world had stretched Terran DNA into something new, though still Terran at its core. Their lives were longer, their stages of growth stretched. And of course, their worldviews were completely alien to those of us who had never left our mother.
Basic Information
Growth Rate & Stages
The lifespan of a Zarqonian Terran is much longer than the lifespan of a True Terran. The planet Zarqon has a longer year and a longer day than Terra Mater, and over thousands of years of living on the planet, the descendants of the original colonists adapted to their new world's specifications.
The average lifespan of a Zarqonian Terran is 80 Zarqon years, which translates to roughly 160 Terra Mater years. They reach sexual maturity between the ages of 13 and 17. Adulthood is usually considered to range from age 17 to age 47, though there are differences among ethnicities. After adulthood comes either middle age or elderhood, depending on the ethnicity.
Zarqonian Terrans do not generally experience age-related feebleness. Most are strong and hale into their old age; declines before the end of life are generally quick, not long and drawn out. It is unknown what causes this youthfulness and longevity, save something in the planet's environment. What that is has not yet been uncovered by Imperial Scientists.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Currently, descendants of the Terran colonists of Zarqon believe they are the only sapient species upon the planet. This is mostly true.
Soon after first arriving on the continent of New Erika, the descendants of the original colonists encountered the Magi. Relations progressed, as they usually do with Terrans, from cautious, to friendly, to genocidal. Soon most of the Magi were wiped out and relegated to myth for the colonists, who continued to breed and spread across the planet, as they do.
While there are Magi alive today, as well as Magi-Terrans, their existence is not widely known, and a guarded secret among those who do know.
