Sky Chariot
Sky chariots were first created by gryphons in the Zelunii Empire. During the reign of Kalamzaresh, they were used to transport wingless draconians to and from the Old Capital.
Today, they are manufactured by the Adrizrehan Empire.
Manufacturing
First, the hull of the chariot is made. For civilian models, this is typically made of wood. For military models, they are typically made of wood with metal plating or, very rarely, entirely of metal. In some cases, the hull is then enchanted to reduce its weight. Next, the wheels are made and attached. These are typically made of the same materials as the hull. On more expensive models, these may have the same enchantment as the hull. Lastly, Jecrian is placed in the bottom, with enchanted metal to activate it underneath. The enchantment heats the metal, but only enough to cause the Jecrian to keep the chariot level in the air. This can be toggled on and off via a switch near the front of the chariot, typically accessible by the Gryphon pulling it. The enchantment battery is typically located in an armored box in the hull, and is usually accessible either via a small hatch in the passenger portion of the chariot, or underneath the chariot.Propulsion
They have Jecrian and enchanted metal in the bottom to keep them level while flying.
Weapons & Armament
Some chariots have mounted ballistae, and a few have a hatch in the bottom for dropping things through.
Armor and defense
Chariot armor usually consists of metal plating attached to the exterior and/or the interior of the chariot, and is usually not very thick. Armored chariots are much more expensive than unarmored chariots, and are usually only used by the Adrizrehanian military or very successful mercenaries. The highest-end chariots may also have enchantments to improve their durability.
