Tribal Orc

Tribal Orcs are Orcs that didn't stay in Khalearenth when Melchior and Riah were killed, instead choosing to leave and start over elsewhere, away from society.
Tribal orc culture varies between tribes, so the information below isn't totally accurate to every tribe. However, it is a fairly accurate general overview.

Culture and cultural heritage

Tribal orcs are extremely militaristic, and are typically quite wary, or sometimes outright hostile, towards outsiders. Unlike Khalearenthian Orcs, tribal orcs are accepting of Magic and Alchemy. This is mostly out of necessity, since they don't have the same level of mundane technology as Khalearenthians.
Loyalty and strength are quite important to tribal orcs.

Average technological level

The technology of tribal orcs varies between tribes, but they generally have somewhat archaic arms and armor, and intermediate Alchemy and Magic. Magical Conduits are rarer in orc tribes than most other places in Zelunica, but because of their natural endurance, orcs tend to have less need of them.

Common Etiquette rules

Tribal orcs generally prefer honesty over politeness, and lying to spare a person's feelings is often taken as a great insult, being seen not only as a betrayal, but also an accusation of emotional weakness.
Profanity is common, and things that other cultures might consider rude are commonplace. However, personal insults are taken quite seriously, and sometimes result in duels.

Courtship is usually initiated by the female, and is typically a short process. Females are often extremely aggressive and territorial during courtship.

Relationship Ideals

Orcs are typically polyandrous. In tribes, an orc female will usually only marry one orc male. Additional husbands are typically other races, usually prisoners of war, and are typically lower in status than the primary orc husband. A higher number of non-orc husbands is considered prestigious among orc women, because it displays skill in warfare, as well as the ability to keep a large number of prisoners under control. It is not uncommon for an overconfident orc to take too many husbands too quickly, and end up being killed by one of them.
