Orc
Basic Information
Anatomy
Orcs are bipedal, and have two arms that reach to mid-thigh when at the side. Each arm ends in one hand that has five fingers. Orcs typically have high strength and endurance, a weak orc will probably be about as strong as an average human.
Biological Traits
Male orcs are usually a bit shorter and weaker than females.
Genetics and Reproduction
Orcs reproduce sexually, and are oviparous. Incubation takes six months. There is a short window of time each year when reproduction is possible. The amount of eggs laid is variable, depending on how many eggs are fertilized. One male can only fertilize one egg per reproduction cycle. The only known limitation on the number of fertilized eggs is the fact that once a female starts laying eggs, she cannot stop until all fertilized eggs are laid. Afterwards, she becomes infertile until the next year. The highest recorded number of eggs laid at once is twelve.
After an egg is laid, it is typically looked after by the male that fertilized it.
Orc females have the unusual trait of being genetically compatible with almost every other humanoid race, however the offspring are always full-blooded orcs.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Orcs are omnivorous, and cannot easily survive otherwise.

History
Orcs were originally created by Melchior and Riah, as a labor force for a mining camp. Over time, they made a few attempts at rebelling, all of which failed. Eventually, Melchior and Riah were killed by The Inquisition, who also destroyed their research and tools. Afterwards, some orcs stayed and founded the Magistracy of Khalearenth, some left and formed tribes, and some left for the kingdoms of other races. Today, orcs are somewhat widespread, but most live in Khalearenth or in tribes.
