Culture and cultural heritage

Magic is quite popular in the Wrisresite Magocracy, with the exception of Necromancy.

Common Etiquette rules

Politeness is expected, and profanity is often frowned upon in public.

Common Dress code

Clothing tends to be colorful, but not bright. Clothing decoration is common with substantial, but not extreme, impact on practicality being considered acceptable. Robes are popular, especially among members of the Councils.

Art & Architecture

Wrisresitian buildings are typically made of wood, including high-class residences. Generally, the only stone buildings are fortifications. Magical light sources are common, and many large towns have magical streetlights.   Many popular forms of art in Wrisresite incorporate magic, such as animated sculptures, enchanted paintings, and "fountains" of magical light.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Wrisresitian funerals are generally cremations, and other types are illegal. This requirement was implemented to prevent the practice of Necromancy.

Common Taboos

Necromancy is hated in the Wrisresite Magocracy, to the extent that it is considered one of the worst things a person can do. This stems from the New Abrizan Empire's use of Necromancy in reanimating dead mine workers.
