Great Forest Griffin

One of the largest types of griffin, the great forest griffin has a lupine body with antlers protruding from its skull, long taloned front legs and equine hindlimbs and great feathered wings and a feathered end to its tail. They fly high in the clouds spying their giant prey before striking from above.   They are savage and aggressive and typically drive out other giant predators and are known to attack caravans travelling through their lands. This makes it all the more impressive that on occasion wood elves have been known to tame the great beasts.
