Session 27: The Wandering Isle Report
General Summary
Aetheria was as good as her word. Amiteal and the aasemar go forth, stopping at every ship and island between Indigo Team and the portal and ask if they work for Bloth, and if they are an enemy of Zeke Abd Al Rashid. Anyone who says yes to either are utterly destroyed. As Indigo Team's ships follow in their wake, they find a total of 7 additional spelljamming helms, and decide to keep 2 additional to takle back to Sharn. The rest are for the crew.
Graham White decides to stop at a small island, as it's the last stop before the portal. It turns out the portal to Sigil (WITH A SOFT G!) has become a bit of a destination. Stable portals are rare, and this one seems to be no longer letting anyone through. A few have died (rather gruesomely), but lately the portal is just harmlessly bouncing people an impossible distance into the Astral Sea. It's also cycling through destinations, though still not letting anyone through.
The Wandering Isle, it turns out, is the name of the large inn floating on a tiny island. However, the popularity of the portal (still a few hours off) has made the Wandering Isle incredibly popular. Additonal small islands have been shoved alongside it, and strung together. It's become a combination of a flea market, party scene, and base camp. And that was before the aasemar and Amiteal did their thing. The result was a large group of people who were suddenly very interested in making certain they were Zeke's friend.
Recognizing the ships, and Zeke himself, the crowds part at their approach. Moira, the dwarven woman who owns the Wandering Isle, gets them sorted. The party spends a few days shopping, partying, and saying their goodbyes to their loyal crew. For his part, Zeke cannot go anywhere without being swarmed. Moira convinces him to take Reginald, an exceedingly large and well-armed Giff, for security. Zeke goes forth, healing the sick and preaching the good word (and good parts) of the Silver Flame. A shrine in his name overflows with offerings. Jubithrex happily assists with the cataloguing and distrobution of these offerings, though Graham and Zeke make sure 1/3 goes to help those in the makeshift infirmary.
As the crew begins to make the departure, Moira gives Graham the name of a captian set up near the portal, and asks if Reginald can join the crew. With that all settled, they make their way to the portal.
