The Year is 1373, The Year of Rogue Dragons, and the Bloodstone Lands hang precariously on the edge. King Gareth Dragonsbane might be thinking that fighting Orcus and banishing him to the Abyss for 100 years was the easy part. Now the various province leaders of Damara, who were placed on their thrones by Zhengyi, stymie him at every turn. Vaasa is still unclaimed, although there are signs of civilization cropping up. Zhengyi's followers, the archmage Knellict, the High Priest of Orcus Banak, the Blackfire Adepts under the leadership of Areelu Vorlesh, and the infamous Citadel of Assassins stalk the lands, working to oppose the paladin king.   Three people can trace their lines back to the Bloodfeather Kings. Connal and Christine Tranth (now Dragonborn), and Dimian Ree, the Baron of Morov who has installed himself as mayor of Heliogabalus, the capital, a title normally reserved for the King. With Garath Dragonsbane's marriage to Christine Tranth, their right to the throne is secure, but Dimian Ree is not so easily dissuaded, and together with the thieves' guild Tightpurse, suspected to be under the control of his cousin Tarkos Ree, he undermines Gareth's claims hoping to eventually replace the paladin as king of Damara.   Then a small thing happened. A caravan carrying the spices of the Chicane Guild was ambushed on its way to the dwarven hold of Ironspur. On that caravan were some unusual casks. The adventurer (and all around rogue) Angus Silverblade together with Vintra Marktunsel of the Chicane Guild hire a diverse group of new adventurers to retrieve the spices and the sealed casks and solve the mystery of their disappearance.   What is in store for this new band? Will they uncover the mystery or find more?
