Wyvern threat Report

General Summary

Previously: Wayside Attacked!
Having disposed of the wraiths and zombies attacking the Wayside Inn, the party enjoys a moment of refreshment before heading offroad towards Phandalin.
As they head higher into the hills, the party hears an avian-like screech in the direction they are travelling, and use intimidation and thaumaturgy to try and frighten it away.
It turns out to be two wyverns, whose flight into the air scares some of the goats into panic. Tharg uses his masterful animal handling to jump onto Smiles' back and sheepdog the goats back to the main group, while Anathema shoots at the creatures, and Herdyr supports with magic.
However, the herd is heading towards the Wyvern's nest and one of the monsters swoops down to defend it's home. The other attempts to pick off a small group of goats who have separated from the herd and headed for higher ground. Anathema tries to intervene, getting a hoof full before lassoing her way onto one of the escapees with her magical rope. The rest of the party rushes to support her and after a fierce battle they bring down both wyverns, losing only one goat.
Feeling somewhat battered, the party look for a site to stop for the night while they harvest what they can from the dead creatures.

Rewards Granted

The Wayside Inn provided lunch and drinks for their defenders. Tharg recieved a bottle of strong proof liquour heavily infused with chilli peppers.
So far, Anathema has managed to harvest one of the venom stingers from the Wyverns.
