Session XI: Demon Slayers Report
General Summary
After accidentally summoning a demon, our party prepares to face the creature when a bigger creature catches the gorilla-like creature and brings it back into the portal. The creature emerges from the portal with someone riding it. The rider seems to be fighting the creature and the party join him in the hunt.
Having dealt with the creature and closing the portal, the party gathers around this stranger. He introduces himself as Astrophel Du'leur and demands an explanation as to why the party summoned this creatures. The party question the Shadar'kai's motives to emerge from the portal and he clarifies that he is a member of Tasogare an order that hunts vile creatures as well as a horizon walker. After they discuss the misunderstanding, the topic deviates to Medan's ailment. The Shadar'kai explains to that Medan's ailment hails from his mother realm, the Shadowfell. He offers a solution for the party if they travel to the city of Onyx.
Taking into account previous experiences, the party weights their options carefully and while at it, they mention Kaltain. At the mention of the name, the shadar'kai stops them and demands and explanation about how they know the "Demon Whisperer". Confused the party retales their meeting with Kaltain to which Astrophel reacts in awe. He tells them not to believe everything they are told and they decide not to believe him and continue with their journey. The hunter tells them that he'll be waiting on the city of Onyx and leaves.
No sooner had they rested, the party returns to Bloomsdale to find that Kaltain's home is gone and that he left a note and a parting gift. The party then resumes their journey and on their would-be-last day of travel, they come across a dreadful scene. On a canyon a mountain of bodies lays inmobile and on their midst, a figure stands. Taking a closer look, they determine that whatever it is, it is dead. Nevertheless, they decide to take a detour and take one more day on their trip.
The next day, they reach their destination, Port Albens, to find a sign of ill omen. A guard posting a wanted poster with the face of Captain Jibril on it.
