  Report begins...
This is the tenth report on the activities of Subjects 4777, 4778, 4779, 4780, 4781, and 4782, along with their relationship to, and interactions with Subject 1. Data for this and all other reports on these subjects have been gathered through mostly secondary and tertiary sources, with only occasional data from the primary sources themselves. As such, these data may be subject to the degradation effects of copying from one source to the next. For full reliability percentages, see the attached charts.
Day 141 of 4,543,626,881 (21 May of 98 AF in Local Notation)
Following the subjects' meeting with Subject 422 (designated Arnol Federman and referred to as such henceforth in this report; see Report 9 for details of the meeting), the subjects spent the rest of the day shopping, primarily buying defensive clothing. Whether this was because they were expecting to need it soon or just general interest is not entirely clear, though possibly a combination of both.
Day 142 of 4,543,626,881 (22 May of 98 AF in Local Notation)
just before 0200 this day, an explosion which blew a hole in an outer wall occurred at the Firebrand Chemicals warehouse in east Zal. Firebrand Chemicals is the company run by Arnol Federman. The subjects, camped east of the town, heard the explosion and proceeded into town to investigate. Subject 4780 (designated "Ackers" and referred to as such henceforth in this report) went ahead of the others to find that the security forces of the Amul Family family had already arrived on the scene and had cordoned it off from the gathering crowd of onlookers.   When the others arrived, Subject 4781 (designated "Rancher" and referred to as such henceforth in this report) flagged down one of the security personnel. It would seem that the subjects had the naïve belief that they could just offer help in tending the injured and even assisting an investigation, and Amul security would accept it. However, as reported last time, the Amuls had already taken notice of the subjects and had begun some surveillance of them. The subjects were recognized and immediately taken to see Subject 23 (designated "Nina Amul" and referred to as such henceforth in this report), who was already on the scene.   Nina Amul would seem to have initially suspected the subjects of causing the explosion at the warehouse. Reports have also indicated that she has a particular dislike for R.A.N.C.H.E.R., although it is not entirely clear why. See Report 423 of the Amul Series for speculation on this, however.   Nina questioned the subjects extensively before eventually allowing them to return to their camp.   At 1100, the subjects arrived for another meeting with Arnol Federman. Once again, there is no available data on what exactly was discussed between them, although it is likely the explosion at the warehouse was one topic of discussion. The meeting was a little shorter than the one the day before.   After the meeting, the subjects went around Zal, purchasing tools and robotics parts, which they carted back to their camp. While it is not yet certain, it is likely that the subjects were preparing to upgrade R.A.N.C.H.E.R. once more. Whether this was part of an arrangement with Federman or just an unrelated activity is not clear.   That evening, a messenger arrived with a message for the subjects. The message came from Arnol Federman; however, there are no reliable reports on the contents of the message, though it almost certainly had something to do with Ackers departing their camp shortly after and going to the Firebrand Chemicals warehouse, where Amul security allowed him entrance. It would appear that Nina Amul had granted permission for the subjects to assist in the repairs of a maintenance robot damaged in the explosion.   Ackers spoke briefly with Federman, who was on his way out, and then began repairs on the robot. Federman's apprentice, designated "Jennifrie Maine", but generally just called "Jenny", and two security guards remained on the premises with him. However, Jenny left just after 2300.
Day 143 of 4,543,626,881 (23 May of 98 AF in Local Notation)
At approximately 0115, Ackers and the security guards were attacked by a robotic assailant that, based on the descriptions, would appear to be a Class 5 or Class 6 Aquafarm Security Drone, though Nina Amul has now called a "filamentron". According the security reports, the drone dropped down on them from the rafters, though what it was doing in the warehouse and how it had gained entrance are not know. Although one security guard was heavily injured, Ackers and the guards were able to disable the drone before anyone was killed.   Gunfire from the battle alerted both the other subjects in their camp and more Amul security. The subjects and Nina Amul arrived at close to the same time to find out what had happened. Nina once again questioned the subjects. This time, she determined that the subjects were likely not responsible for either this attack or the earlier explosion, though additional details are still coming in.
End report.
