Personal history
Toaster, formally known more commonly as Viral, grew up in Little China until his parents were killed in the crossfire of local gang activity at the age of 12. He and his brother, @Nilan, were seperated in the chaos. Nilan was presumed dead.
Toaster was begrudgingly taken in by a Netrunner with the handle, @Sashenka. Life was as good as it can get as a Night City orphan.
Toaster, age 15, was present for the Technicolor Furcoats founding after Sashenka and Wojtek wiped out the Valentinos, taking control of the power vacuume that resulted.
Within the year, Shashenka's netrunning partner was killed by a law enforcement gang 6th Street Netrunner, and a replacement was needed. Apprehensively, Sashenka taught toaster how to Netrun out of necessity. Despite being only 16, he took to netrunning quickly and proved to have talent in the craft. His father would say that he took too many risks, but it's Toaster is a firm believer that its best to get the job done quick rather than safe.
Toaster was soon indoctrinated as a offical member of the Technicolor Fursuits, trip to Biotechnica's Zoo included. With a fresh body kitted out in chrome, Toaster became the solo Netrunner for the Technicolor Furcoats. A final transformation in leaving his old, combat-zoner, life behind, or so he thought.

Contacts & Relations
Nell: Known them since 2040, though they only got close after Nell's initiation. They've since taken to casually fucking and hanging out. Toaster goes to their races when he can.
Family Ties
Sashenka: Met at 12 after his parents died to a Malestrom attack in 2037. They quickly became a father figure to Toaster, taking him under his wing as a Netrunner, eventually growing close to him. Though it's hard to admit, they see him as a son, and did their best to teach him how to survive, becoming proud of his ability. Their concern can often come off as over controlling, and they're known to be distant, but they love him.
Wojtek: Similar to Sashenka, but more distant. He often plays good cop to Sashenka's bad cop, but doesn't open up, only ever mentioning the war a few times, and very little of his life before it. Watching him wipe out an entire gang camp was a moment of realization.
Nilan: Close all throughout childhood, he strove to protect him in the streets of Japantown. They often bonded over mutual interests and the sort of feelings that only kids of the Red would understand.
