Personal history
Aeren Grimvein, known affectionately as "Doc" for his divine healing abilities, was born to a Goliath father named **Tharok Grimvein** and an elven mother named **Elara Nightshade**. Both parents held esteemed positions within their respective clans, but their love was kept secret due to the deep-seated prejudices between elves and Goliaths. Despite the secrecy, their bond was strong, and they raised Aeren in the elven village of Llanfyll.
**Early Life:**
From a young age, it was clear that Aeren was different. He grew taller and stronger than any elf in Llanfyll, a testament to his Goliath heritage. His parents did their best to shield him from the scrutiny and whispers, but as he grew, it became impossible to hide his true nature.
**The Tragedy:**
One fateful night, a dark and malevolent entity was sent to their home. Sensing the danger, Elara hid Aeren in a secret compartment within the wall, instructing him not to emerge unless she or Tharok came for him. Through a small crevice, Aeren watched in horror as the entity tortured his parents, who refused to reveal his location. The entity seemed to revel in their suffering, turning the hunt into a cruel game. Aeren remained frozen with fear, unable to move or cry out, until the first light of dawn.
**The Escape:**
When the sun finally rose, Aeren emerged from his hiding place, his heart shattered by the loss of his parents. He fled to the only sanctuary he knew, the Moonweaver's temple in Llanfyll. Elara had been deeply religious, often sharing lore and teaching him how to pray. Exhausted and broken, Aeren collapsed at the temple's entrance.
**A New Beginning:**
The Moonweaver, a compassionate and wise figure, took Aeren in. It took days for him to speak, but when he did, he recounted the harrowing events of that night. Recognizing his potential and the depth of his trauma, she made him her apprentice. Despite his racial differences, Aeren's innate gift for healing and his growing faith set him apart.
**Rising to Power:**
Under the Moonweaver's guidance, Aeren honed his abilities and grew stronger in his faith. He became a beacon of hope and a symbol of unity, embodying the best of both his Goliath and elven heritage. When the Moonweaver deemed him ready, she bestowed upon him the title of Truthseer. Aeren's mission was clear: to bring all races together under the true goddess of darkness, Krorone, and to avenge his parents by seeking out and destroying the evil entity that took their lives
