Personal history

Born in the woods west of Bégneux, Rimbley spent his early years looting, stealing and trying to survive. He would skulk and observe the people of Bégneux, watching how they walked, and how they dressed and eavesdrop on their stories.
Rimbley was always a chancer, playing games of chance and dealing in tempting fate for the thrill. Whether it was a game of rollies, a risky ambush on guarded wagons, or sneaking through the streets of Bégneux. One day, a caravan rolled by on its way to Dehn Dorrahl. Rimbley knew of the stories of dwarven treasures and decided that fate had meant a piece for his pocket. Sneaking inside the caravan when it stopped for the night, Rimbley discovered a bare wagon with only a few ordinary-looking items: a hat, a ring and some scraps of dwarven writing. Rimbley stole the items and slunk away to inspect them.
 
Fumbling with the ring, a compartment sprang open. Rolling green energy emanated from the ring, and a creature appeared before him. The creature explained he was a djinn, capable of granting three wishes of Rimbley's desire. As Rimbley knew his life was short, he wished to live a long life, to experience and dance along the threads that fate had spun, only to stretch those threads for himself. His next wish sprung straight to his mind, 'I wish for the gift of luck', to bend the threads of fate in his favour. With this wish, Rimbley glimpsed a version of events that saw him become a powerful magician who could walk freely through the streets, living the life he'd previously only been able to watch from a distance. For his final wish, he freed the Djinn. The djinn repaid Rimbley by imbuing him with magic and gifting him his ring. Rimbley put the green wizard's hat on, and he danced away to test his luck.
 
He travelled around the world chancing people out of money and items until he met members of the Seers of Summershield in Pearlpoint and joined them.
