The cordial dwarven maralictor of the Order of the Vice
Born in the Deepholds of Malakad, Baldur was destined for luxury among the highborn of the mountain holds. He was born the fifth son of the Ironfist family, a descendant of the mighty hero Igor Ironfist himself. Growing up with all the privileges of the noble, including access to proper and harsh tutoring, Baldur quickly found that he had a profound legal pathos and sense of right. More than once did he end up in trouble after picking fights with other youngsters whom he deemed to have committed unjust actions. When he finally reached adulthood and was inducted into the ranks of the Malakadian military as a commanding officer, which was standard practice for noble sons far removed from inheritance. There he proved himself a stern but just commander, finding comfort in the rigid and strict chain of command.
This, of course, until he found his own senior officer smuggling military goods to the nearby barony. He confronted the dwarf and told him that he was going to report this as was procedure, but the accused, who hailed from an even higher-standing household, did not give him the chance. Baldur was framed for the entire ordeal and stripped of his rank and position following a swift and unjust trial. Seeing how corrupt the system was and the unfair advantages the highborn possessed in the face of the law, Baldur sought a new cause, following something that Baldur only could explain as a divine calling, he found his peers among the Hellknights of the Order of the Vice. There he learned how to channel the holy might of the ancestral dwarven gods themselves to spread true justice and order. He quickly rose among to the rank of maralictor of the order and now operates in Akkon, an even more unjust nation in Baldur's opinion.
