Appearance
Physical Description
Pleasant, small, approachable.
Demie looks like a cross between a tiny hobgoblin and a short half elf, if either of those two races were green. She has a solid and agile build, well suited to the harsh conditions of surviving in the Spires or other dangerous environments. Her skin is a deep emerald green, and unlike most Verdan she has a fair bit of hair that she keeps pulled back with her ears behind her head. Most of her features are quite generic, but her keen black eyes sparkle and dance as they flit around, hungrily taking in the world.

Demie's clothes and armour are faily non-descript. They're a dark, dark green with faded orange accents. What little steel armour she does wear bears visible signs of having been recently repaired. On the second finger of her right hand she wears a simple wooden ring under her single archery glove, which covers the pads of her first three fingers, but is otherwise open. Her ring bears some sort of enchantment that keeps it from weathering as wood typically would, and every now and then a thin yellow line seems to snake along it, although Demie can't say for certain if it does anything or has any discernable trigger.
Specialized Equipment
Demie's cloak is made out of the hide of the Displacer Beast Bits. The properties of the beast's hide seem to project another illusory image of her, which is why she was given the name of The Twin Ranger, which is also incribed inside the collar of the cloak in red. While Demie can't be certain, she's pretty sure it was written in the blood of the beast.
Special abilities
As with all Verdan, Demie is capable of limited telepathy, being able to communicate simple ideas and feelings, so long as the other creature understands some form of language. Over the years, Demie has adapted this ability to allow her some limited insight agaisnt people and creatures looking to harm her.

Education
Education in Hellscream was limited to fighting for survival. Demie has no official schooling, and while she can speak, read, and write common and goblin fairly well, she is only capable of speaking orc and sylvan and is limited in her abilities to read or write the languages. Due to growing up around many orcs though, she is more competent with that language than sylvan. Her grasp of draconic is limited simply to understanding it, and generally only through context. She's unable to speak, read, or write it.
Employment
Demie's employment in the Spires largely consisted of hunting and war. As a teenager she provided for her family by hunting. During this time she took up the hobby of mapping the areas she hunted and became quite proficient at cartography, making her indispensable in her young adult years when she joined the orc fighting parties under the leadership of Glorkdof the Shrill Scream. After making her way to Porion in 1995 AEA she worked as a cartographer for the Emerald Veil Logging Co. mapping the Elven Forests before eventually moving to Porion where she again put her skills as a cartographer to use for the Blacksmithing & Mining Guild mapping the Mountains of Wind.
Accomplishments & Achievements
One of her most notable accomplishments was slaying the Displacer Beast called Bits that had accosted Hellscream Outpost for many moons and claimed the lives of likely over 100 goblins, hobgoblins, orcs, and who knows what else.
At the age of 15 Demie used her skills and cunning to track, surprise, and kill the beast. In honour of such a grand accomplishment Glorkdof, Chieftain of Hellscream gave her the title of 'The Twin Ranger' and gave her a cloak fashioned of the beast's hide.
Mental Trauma
When Demie was 3 her newborn baby brother, her only sibling at the time, was carried off in an attack by a nearby bandit gang of aaracockra. While Demie is often the first person to stand up for diversity and the equality of all, deep down she harbours a grudge against the avian race. Still to this day, her mood is very sour on the anniversary of her brother's disappearance.

Demie is not afraid to be a badass. She's just as quick to get in your face and talk you down as she is to shoot from afar. She is typically cheerful, if not a little cocky and overconfident, but can quickly get hangry.

Due to the fluid nature of gender that runs in her family, Demie is predisposed to being sexually fluid. She is however, bonded in a Covenant to her partner Illith and abhors the thought of breaking such a sacred bond between the two.

As with all Verdan, Demie is prone to gender mutations. While she was born biologically female, she spent the bulk of her life as a male, but had mutated again back into a female.
While she is indifferent to the pronouns others use for her to the point of answering to either, she is fiercely offended by derogatory comments against either gender. This said, the societal "gender roles" that different cultures place each other into don't bother her nearly as much, so long as they are properly respected and not enforced in any legal manner.

Despite growing up in a violent and brutal place like Hellscream Outpost, Demie's parents still impressed upon her the need to be kind and caring towards all people, regardless of race, gender, status, or class. The ensured that she knew that every being mattered. As such, Demie approaches people with kindness and is quick to help those in need without expecting repayment. However, when she is owed by someone that she knows is capable of paying her she will not let that debt go until it has been settled. Likewise, she will repay her own debts to people without fail...when she can scrounge together the payment.
Vices & Personality flaws
Demie can be pretty gullible. While she won't put herself into danger or believe the word of a known enemy, she's found herself in a number of embarrassing situations after believing some fairly wild tales.
Along with this, Demie doesn't handle embarassment or failure very well. Her goal is to be the best damn ranger there is, so when she fails at that she takes it incredibly hard, often pushing her deep into sorrow and homesickness, which then makes her think of Illith, causing the failure to hurt even more. This puts her into a downward spiral that often leads to her either running or simply sitting on the ground, sketching pictures of Illith, or Mother, or home on the ground.

Speech
Demie has a habit of talking more than is necessary in most situations. While she's more than capable of keeping quiet when not involved in a conversation, when given the chance to jump in it's difficult to then get her to stop.
When Happy
Her typical emotional state, she'll happily chatter to people around her. If not around people she'll whistle to the birds unless the situation requires silence.
When Sad
She gets homesick. When she gets really sad she'll go so far as to just sit down where she is and draw pictures of Illith or Mother on the ground.
