A kind man, Fourth Prince Cathändril is know across Eriador as a healer and man of wisdom who has gone across Arnor strengthening her infrastructures and enlightening her people. With the aid of his wife Nathariel he has raised her son Pelendur as his own, who may yet strive for the throne of Cardolan should the time prove nigh for a man of warmth and wisdom to come. Cathändril spends much of his time between Fornost and Annúminas bringing news, messages, orders, and men across the heartland of Arnor as First Ranger and Commander of The Ranger Core Across Eriador. He also acts as an official liaison with the Noldor of Imladris having befriended Lindir and Elrond of Rivendell in his youth. His duties as first ranger have lead him to discard the typical formalities and trappings of court life which has alienated him from the nobility of late.

In 1411 T.A. Prince Cathändril was slain during the Siege of Carn Dûm in the Slaughter on the Angirith Shelf.
