The shadow dragon defending the resting place of Nadira in the Meridan Underdark near the prospective Darkhome mithril mining zone. Highly intelligent, Zarlask is a skilled sorcerer on top of his impressive natural abilities. He mostly speaks draconic, but he knows a variety of common Underdark languages, being fluent in nearly every language he has encountered with some frequency.
Zarlask is currently living in the Den of Shadows, next to the Tower of Xaltric west of the Darkhome mithril mine. He would like people to investigate the puzzles and magical artifacts in the tower, because he isn't quite sure what they do.

Physical Description
In his true form, Zarlask is a fairly typical shadow dragon. In human form, he appears as a shadowy-eyed young man with spiky red-tipped hair and a black cloak.
Mentality
Morality & Philosophy
While Zarlask tries to give a mercenary air, claiming he's only defending the Blacklight Forest because he was hired to do so and that the treants there are just "long acquaintances", this facade cracks under pressure. There's a heart of gold under that gruff exterior, no matter how much he might try to suppress it.
