Abandoned at a young age in the slums of (insert large city here), Sylvia had to do whatever it took to survive, which in her case meant joining up with the Cirano family, a feared and respected crime family. Sylvia began to worm her way up the ranks as increasingly powerful members of the family began to take note of Sylvia's discretion and penchant for the roguish arts. This soon led to Sylvia being employed as an assasin for the family, a job which she took to as a fish takes to water. Sylvia quickly developed a reputation in the city as the last person who's attention you wanted, though if by some bad luck you attracted the ire of her employers you could at least rest easy knowing you'd never see her coming. Sylvias ruthless efficiency further hastened her ascent through the ranks of the organization, soon landing her as Don Trecelia's personal bodyguard and hitman, two roles he would come to rely on her greatly for. Sylvia would not get to enjoy this position for forever however, as one of her assignments would come to a catastrophic conclusion. Don Trecelia, in an effort to make the rival Viscosia family crumble, hired Sylvia to assassinate Don Yuri's ruthless son, Dimitri Viscosia as he was the next in line for leadership when the aging don finally passed. The contract went very well at the start, by the time Sylvia realized the whole thing was a trap it was far too late, Sylvia narrowly evaded being captured by the Viscosia family but was gravely wounded during her escape forcing her to go into hiding for a few weeks. Upon her return home Sylvia found the whole place overrun with Viscosia goons, asking around the street revealed that in her absence Don Trecelia had almost immediately fallen victim to an opposing assassin, upon hearing this news Sylvia decided it would be best to go into hiding, as any ties to her old life would likely just lead the Viscosia family straight to her door.
