Anitas village was burned down by goblins, she grew up in the mortal world completely oblivious to the fact that her "nightmares" were real. she was adopted by some bandits at the age of 4. they found her in the burning wreckage of the village and took her in. she grew up learning to be a cuthroat thief. when her group was captured by the law, Hank, Mathews mentor, hid her from the law because she was so young. Only 14. she was adopted by a nice family in th town mathew lived near. Mathew was tasked with keeping her on the right side of the jail bars. she tried to run several times. he caught her. she stole so much from the market. almost. he stopped a lot of thieving but rarely woul he ever have to stop an assualt. most of the time it was just her standing up to bullies, but she has knives and will not hold back when using them. it became a game, Anita would steal, Mathew would stop her. they became friends, then more than friends. then Mathew dissapeared for months. Anita was so worried. she covered his duties for him. then when he came back with inhuman features it reminded her too much of her nigtmares. she was overcome by emotion an ran away calling him a monster. Mathew was distraught, his best friend thought he was a monster. Anita is still sorting through her emotions when the crew hears of this and comes for her. they hate it when their loved ones are hurt. (you know like a normal person) and so ofc they abduct her and mathew planning to lock them in a room together with a mediator. (less like a normal person.)
when she is kidnapped by not humans Anita freaks out and doesnt stop freaking out, until she is knocked out with anesthetic.
she tries to escape, so many times. Mathew, who goes by Fletcher now, stops her. trying to stop her from getting stuck in this world for months ike he did. she thinks he is working with the crew.
in one of her escape attempts she comes across a book with a picture of Goblins, her nightmares came to life. her goal changed from escape to revenge. she bided her time and waited till the crew had well and truly let down their guard. then escaped to the forests of Antarc. her familiar found her and she was off. she named her familiar Nive the poison ivy. she considered naming it reckless, but decided on Nive. after slaying the last goblin she fell in love with a girl named lucy, an became her wife. complicattions with the Acceptance came up, were overcome. Fletcher and Anita made amends.
