A cleric of the Platinum Dragon, following a vision from Bahamut

 

At first glance, Gabriel appears to be standard folk of the human race, general proportions, healthy and well kept hair and beard. His stance gives away a hint of something more, for the man stands proud, yet not in an arrogant way but in that confident manner that others actually find appealing. For those that inspect closer, they may notice that Gabriel's eyes shimmer from time to time, hiding a power waiting to be unleashed. For those who get to know Gabriel more, they may notice that although he is charismatic and well versed in persuasion, he struggles to find a deeper connection with the people around him.

So much so, that he converses deeper topics with his pet, Arissa, who sings back in melancholy.
 
Gabriel was born in Rexxentrum. Following the realisation by his parents that their child was an Aasimar, he was transferred into the custody and care of the Platinum Dragon. The kind cleric by the name of Ognacious mostly raised the child. As an Aasimar, Gabriel was was seen as a gift, a mark of Bahamut's favour to His priests of the Dragon Seat and Platinum House.
 
After two dozen years, Gabriel started to see things slightly different, the realisation coming to him that men's thoughts and aspirations could sour and become wicked. His life had been simple, perhaps too simple, for the duties dictated by the priests were the healing of so the so called "worthy", and presiding over sermons for such rich and pompous nobles.
 
Recently, recalling the wisdom of his mentor Ognacious, Gabriel realised that he had been used little more than a trophy and tool for the political ambitions of these greedy men, thereby robbing the meek and the good of what Bahamut truly sought.
 
On Embertide Eve, he was struck by a vision, a message he could only see to be from his god, Bahamut. His destiny awaited away from the Dwendalian Empire. Gabriel escaped the Platinum House under the cover of darkness, his journey leading him across the Cyrious Mountains and towards the Menagerie Coast.
