While he is an absolute unit of a man, at a nice 6’5" and built like a brick shit-house, Quostor is far from what you’d consider bright.

Far from brooding, far from angsty, Quostor displays himself as a ridiculously optimistic bumbling goon, most of the time not even particularly registering any threats delivered on him. Despite his simple-mindedness however, is the practical mind of someone who has seen a thing or two, and while he may not count very high, problems did arise on whatever farm he grew up on, and he had to come up with some sort of solution at least a couple times, mostly relying on his instinct rather than his wit.
When he’s in a fight, however, that’s a different story entirely – He doesn’t need to calculate how fast his sword is going, his muscles will take care of that, and despite his jovial frame, he’s lived long enough on his own to reach Ysgard, let alone continue to survive there. Some might even say that Quostor turns into someone completely different when he’s fighting. The jokey, bumbling fool suddenly goes very quiet at the swing of his blade, his eyes focused on making sure he hits his mark – Only for him to immediately revert back to his usual self temporarily after the strike hits.
 
Maybe the reality of the matter is that it takes every single ounce of brain-power for him to fight, and so, when he does… Well, he doesn’t have much head-space left for anything else.
