Prior to her decision to begin a life of adventuring with Alexandru, Elissa was a huntress.

Having only had a limited exposure to the outside world during her upbringing, Elissa is hungry to learn more about the ways and customs of the various nations of Tel.

Due to her upbringing in the village of Shagora, with its unusual custom of sex as hospitality, Elissa has come to view sex as an unwanted social obligation as opposed to an expression of intimacy between two romantic partners. Never having had the opportunity to employ her discretion with whom to bed, Elissa now relishes the autonomy she has gained over her own body. While she understands romantic love as a concept, never having experienced it for herself, it remains an abstraction in her mind. Despite her general openness to experience as she explores the world as an adventurer, she is content to currently remain restrained in her expression of sexuality.

Raised in the rural seaside village of Shagora, Elissa did not think much about the greater world beyond the Getha Hills until she met the group of adventurers that included the young Scout of Palesia, Riven Telstandis. Seeing an adventurer who was also a sixteen-year-old woman, sparked a desire within her to follow in her footsteps to explore Tel in search of fame and fortune.

Elissa is a faithful devotee of the 'Alohim, the traditional pantheon of Nar gods.
