Rorick has respect for the work the tradesmen of his guild do, having worked alongside them. He believes his duty as Guild Master is to ensure the job security of the Guild's members and considers himself primarily a fixer. When jobs need doing, he ensure that it is Guild Members that are hired. He keeps the membership fee modest and has been known to loan it from his own pocket when workers cannot pay in a given year. Under his leadership the members of his guild feel safe and happy with their cut of the profits, however the Guild itself lacks influence, as Rorick is often removed from politics.
Appearance
Physical Description
Rorick is, by all measures, relatively unremarkable. He's average stature with no real identifying characteristics. The years have begun to show on him prematurely, deep lines etched between his brows and around his eyes from long nights scouring at reports and correspondences. He keeps himself well-maintained, but the exhaustion is evident on his face more often than not.
Mentality
Personal history
As the oldest son in his family, and son of the Woodworkers' Guild Master, Rorick was always expected to take the role of Guild Master. He was rigorously schooled from a young age, trained in multiple languages, accounting, geography, history, and literature. His father even paid a tutor from Kaisu to come teach him. While his siblings were out playing in the streets, Rorick was locked inside, studying. As a result, he was always a serious somber child. Starting at age thirteen, his father sent him on a journey to walk a mile in the tradesmen shoes. It was his belief that a Guild Master could not properly perform his duty if he did not understand the lives of the Guild members. For the next seven years, Rorick traveled the land, learning the lifestyles of lumberjacks, shipwrights and woodcarvers. He returned home when his father took ill, and took over the business. Weeks later, Rorick's father died, making Rorick the official Guilds Master.
Education
When Rorick was three years old, his father hired a tutor from Kaisu to oversee his education. Rorick was trained in Common, Elvish, and Dwarvish as well as world history, Aheilan history, economics, politics, and geography. Once his formal education was complete, Rorick's father sent him to live a tradesman's life. At thirteen he spent two years as a lumberjack in the Wandering Woods. At sixteen, he spent a year as a shipwright, working on the docks. At seventeen, he apprenticed as a woodcarver, learning how to make and sell all sorts of goods.

This belief has often worked against his own self-interest and often leads him to making questionable business decisions. He has a strong work ethic and an sincerity that does not lend itself to the cutthroat politics of Isomor.
Personality
Motivation
Rorick is a caretaker, by nature. He sees himself as a servant of the tradesmen of the Woodworker's Guild and goes to great extent to make sure they are the primary beneficiaries of the organization. He is a dedicated family man, now married with two kids of his own, and there is nothing he wouldn't do for his family.
