The day shines dimly today with the overcast sky dashing a blue hue of the sky shining down. The light blues and grays of the day's light compliment the rather drab and disheveled attire that I carry with me. My suit shoes splash with the puddles of water that have formed from the drizzle above and make their way to the ship ahead. This is my second time travelling so the elongated white ship with its singular purple stripe. Strolling inside the ship is as sleek as the outside. Seemingly modular and pragmatic it has little outside of its cafe/bar and some twenty odd chairs for the shorter flights. When we departed I felt my soul move with the ship to the stars.
Aballon was dark with harsh lights, a place made for machines to labor infinitely with no semblance of rest. I've lived there my whole life and never left, never saw why I should. When I saw the stars for the first time I was awestruck. I've been outside but the blinding light of the sun would not let me see the soft glow of the stars out there in the beyond. The Beyond, the frontier with it's beautiful soft oscillating colors that shone through the window I stared with my whiskey in hand. There it was in front of me, freedom. The stars beholden to no one like the tumbleweed in the ancient west I roll to see where I may go. In this moment I saw the vast expanse and fell into a deep reflection that I'm still not sure what it means. What will I find in this space?
Lone Star shine down on my Home Town!
Fill my memory!
Light my way!
