The Journey Begins

by Zira Valleth

We begin our three day journey to Olegs Trading Post. Our group consists of Cher, Ikory, Ember, Amiri, Linzi and of course ME.
Ikory has a very tragic history full of death.
Cher is her towns folk hero, taught the people how to fight.
Ember is looking for Elven Ruins and is looking to become the Worlds Greatest Archer.
Amiri joins us from the Realm of the Mammoths, the Six Bears Tribe, and enjoys fighting.
Linzi is from Gault, Attended the prestigious art school in Petax but was exiled from there after writing a book full of limericks making fun of the king, Freedom of Expression baby!
Harrim has lived his life in two parts; first blind wandering doubts. Next, accepting Groetus into his soul. He hails from the Five Kings Mountain.
Valerie, who is very formal, with impeccable manners, was blessed with otherworldly beauty. She is a failed Paladin of Shaylin, but who cares about Gods and Religion anyways.
On day three of travel we hear yips and bays coming our way. I recognize them as Thylacines before they attack us. We are able to defeat them with minor injuries and we collect their skins.
We finally arrive at the trading post and are greeted with the sound of hammering, there is a ginger haired man working on the roof. When he sees us approach he climbs down and introduces himself as Oleg, the owner. He invites us to his table and his wife, Svetlanna comes over with some delicious stew, thanking us for coming to help. The tell us about the bandits, who have threatened to burn down the post and abduct Svetlanna if they don't hand over supplies, they will come back again tomorrow. After exploring the post and putting together a plan for ambush Oleg mentions a nearby Alchemist, Bokin, who might be willing to help. nWe head over to his hut and he eventually offers to give us some healing potions if we will do him a favor and collect some fang berries for him later on.
We head back to the post, do prep for the ambush tomorrow and then get some sleep.
The next morning we all take our positions and soon seven bandits walk in, but once they see some "travelers" hanging around they try to act normal, as if they were just travelers themselves. After they are all in I sneak by and lock the doors behind them so that way they can't escape. Ikory approaches the bandits and tells Bandit #3 that he is going to die. Haps, the bandit captain, shoots Ikory and Cher stabs B3, fulfilling Ikory's prophecy. I sneak up and kill the Captain and Ikory says "Now you're all going to die". After that we kill all of the bandits except one, for interrogation. Olegs rewards us and they offer to make the post our base of operations. Svetlanna asks that we don't kill Kressle, the bandit leader, if possible because that us her sister. The captured bandit tells us where the camp is, then we hang him, and the rest of the bodies off the palisades.
Before we can take care of the bandits we have to find Bokins fang berries, while resting on the way to the berry cave, and old man approaches us warning that our rival, Tartutio, is searching for a n ancient power. Then he leaves. What a weird encounter.
We get to the fang berry caves and upon entering see that it is full of webs. Cher is attacked by spiders. After killing them, those swarms are no joke, we collect the fang berries and bring them back to Bokin.
We decide to head towards where the old man said Tartutio is. Coming upon a concealed cave with four stone markers. I find a beautiful sheath, a relic, that Ember gives me a scimitar to put in it.
We continue on and come across a field of bones, a hunting ground of a trapdoor spider. During the fight Ember accidentally shoots me in the ass, like, WTF. In the spiders cave we find a treasure map.
We eventually come to a hillside with a entrance to a tomb. There is ancient Elven text on the outside. As soon as we enter we can hear Tartutio telling Jaethal that they need to find the artifact before we do, then he sets mercenaries on us while they escape. After killing them we explore the rest of the tomb, finding a strange metal fragment, some valuable rings and scrolls, and a hidden room with an encient elven coin. We take an everburning candelabra as well.
