Leaving the tomb is a literal breath of fresh air. We follow Tartutios tracks until we come upon a dried up river bed with a bunch of claw marks in the dirt, evidence of a battle. The trail splits one way is where the battle went and the other a small set of footprints, just the right size for Tart. We follow the small foot prints- they change into clawed feet along the way. After making our way through a gully the prints lead us to a forest where more prints join it. We find a clearing full of kobolds where a sermon is being held by a vibrant purple kobold. It is Tartutio, disguised, trying to trick the kobolds into finding a relic for him. They notice us and Tartutio disappears. After a battle one of the survivors begs for mercy and we try to tell him that the purple kobold is deceiving them, but he doesn't believe us. He shows us where the home tree is so at one point we can go and meet up with Chief Sootskill. He leaves us with the warning to not go deep down cause there is a monster with many, many legs.
We continue to explore the forest and come upon the body of a hunter killed by his own log trap that somebody set off. We come upon a calm clearing with a statue of Erastil, Ember cleans it off and a sense of warmth comes over us.
As we venture further small inconveniences plague us. Ikory's horse is very gassy, spiders in food, minor pranks being played on us, like my horse turning purple. A couple of us notice some mischievous fae are the ones causing this so I offer them a ring which they accept. Later they approach me and ask for more pranking ideas, so the pranks on the others continues. After Ember offers them another ring we come upon an area where the two of us notice the fae nest and decide to rest in that area. After a night of tricks the far reveal themselves to the rest of the group offering to show nus around now that they know we are not bandits. They tell us about the bandit camp, and a glade full of traps. Also about the hot springs with the giant frogs. Then they show us to an are where moon radishes grow, there are a bunch of kobolds who ate too many radishes- they try to tell us to go away but we scare them off with the threat of the fae and Ember knocking one out. The one left is restrained and Cher tricks him into indentured servitude after Ikory threatens to eat him. We send him off to warn his tribe about Tart tricking them.
The next area we come upon is a Dryad grove, unfortunately the dryad is mad with rage so we end up having to kill her.
Next Cher finds a path that she recognizes from her vision of the Guardian of the Bloom so we follow it, noticing that the trees are starting to seem off. The vibes are not good in this area and it gets creepy. A ghostly nymph appears and says we must stop the curse of men. We see a vision of a failed druid as he abuses his son then another of the grown son beating his dad back. Suddenly blights appear from the trees and we have to defeat all of them. After the fight the mist recedes and we see an engraved stone with a note with the location of an Erestis sanctuary. The nymph reappears and sees the note, remembering that it is a Stag Lord Temple and thats where the mist is emnating from.
