We head towards the frog hot springs and find an aged cabin with a man on the porch. It looks to be a hunting cabin with many tools and animal skins. As we get closer we see he is an aged wood elf with snowy hair and geometric tattoos.
"Ah guests. You look like adventurers"
"We are bounty hunters"
"Rindelius Kimiel is my name. Come, have some tea"
We enter the cabin and it is one large room filled with handmade furniture. We take a seat in front of the fireplace as he makes tea and tells us he used to woodwork in Kionin.
Ikory "accidentally" breaks one of his nice tea cups while trying to "help".
He warns us to steer clear of a nearby boar den.
He was once married but she has long passed. I flirt with him but we can tell that he has someone else on his mind. I offer to help the love along and he reveals he has feelings for a dryad down south.
Before we leave Ikory fixes the broken tea cup.
We continue on our way and run into 5 dangerous looking humans clad in black. The leader is a bald woman who looks at us as if we are goods.
"We're from the Technic league (Shadow slavers from Newmerica) One of you will be our slave"
Ikory booms "YOU DARE SPEAK TO US THIS WAY!"
The lady just rolls her eyes but after Amiri injures her, she runs away through a dimension door.
We kill the rest of the slavers, except one, who tells us where the campsite is. Also that they have 5 or 6 slaves, two magical. There are 12 more slavers. After he also admits to raping the slaves I kill him.
We finish our journey to the stag lords temple. There is a stone pool in the middle of the courtyard that is oozing purple and blue fog.
A heavy bear growl comes from the entrance of the cave further in. "Stupid humans. Die. This is my temple"
During the fight with the bear we also have to fight several spectral animals.
As we kill the bear it lets out a long sigh of relief, transforms into an ancient looking human with a look of peace and his face, then turns to dust. We enter the cave and see a young man, Tristan- a Cleric of Serenray, here to investigate and purify the cursed land. He is able to break the curse, turning the small pool into healing water. We escort him bac to the trading post.
The Guardian of the Bloom appears to Cher, thanking her, and showing her the way to the Stag Lords Fortress.
Once back at the Trading Post Oleg tells us about a couple of bounties we can get.
We head out towards the frog ponds and come upon a grave marking for a Chieftain from the Mammothlands, where Amiri picks up a ring of swimming.
Next we find a small shrine with engraved stones, a good place to come back to to learn about the history of the land.
We finally make it to the hot springs. As we approach a large group of giant frogs watch us. We notice a golden toad statue atop a stone platform.
Amiri speaks with the toads and they don't care if we swim here as long as we don't touch the shiny statue. Linzi distracts the toads while we inspect the statue and find another metal fragment. Then Ikory is stabbed, the statue disappears, and Ember tells us that a bandit took off with it. We tell them we will help them get it back and lead them on a chase towards the bandit camp but they give up after an hour. (Ember decides to just sell the statue and split the gold with us)
We then head towards the boar den where Tuskgutter is located. We sneak up to its den in a hollow tree and kill it.
I skin the boar (for cosplay) and we collect its tucks for the bounty.
We decide to head to the Technic Leagues encampment and sneak up behind it. There are three large tents and cages holding slaves. Two slaves are held apart from the rest, these must be the magical ones. We sneak attack, killing all of the slavers.
