Field Report Havenport: 01
I have safely arrived in the humanoid colony of Havenport. A curious innovation, the town has adapted to its lack of readily available resources by shaping itself out of the sea vessels used to ferry beings and supplies to it. In hopes of gaining as much information from local explorers as possible, I have rented a room at the "Sandbar" a lodging place frequented by members of the adventurer class. The name of the place is a pun in the common language, referring both to an establishment for serving of alcohol, and the geographic feature the colony was built around. As with most of the outside world, the economy in this region uses small disks of precious metals as its key means of barter and exchange, in keeping with all observations recorded prior to my departure from the conclave. My disguise has held near-flawlessly, allowing me to ingratiate myself with these adventurers. One, a 'half-elf' (
Adepta Gregaria ) named Berry has divined my true form, but has not shared this with the other humanoids.
Already among these adventurers, their own scholars have provided me with notes on unusual creatures such as a colossal ophidian of peer-class intelligence, possessing of general-range language capabilities. Another has allowed me to copy notes of the anatomy of a stegosaurus they had fought, suggesting the possibility of wild populations continuing to exist. This may prove a good area to draw samples for captive breeding to repopulate other regions of the world whose dinosaur populations have vanished. If possible, I will seek to take live specimens of secondary subjects back to the conclave for study, primary subjects will of course, will merely be observed in environment due to ethics center guidelines on the handling of peer-class sapients.
One adventurer, Pandoura, a common human (
Adepta Ubiquitous ) has found a number of promising arthropod samples within the islands, but so far has not disclosed their location, out of concerns of commercial exploitation. Further investigation efforts will be attempted.
Potential sources on local wildlife:
Cliff
Pandoura
Sermenti (knowledge seems limited to artificial lifeforms)
Raquanda
Emerald
Folly (unmet)
Primary subjects marked for further observation:
Graves
Species: Human ( Adepta Ubiquitous )
Gender: Male (unverified)
Features of note: Throat injury resistant to conventional healing. Forward notes to medical archives.
Koosorb
Species: Suspected Chimerae Homidae
Gender: Unknown
Features of note: Currently unmet, represents possible insights into chimeric origin species physiology.
Kuon
Species: Tabaxi ( Felis Hominidae )
Gender: Female (unverified)
Features of note: Currently unmet, said to have little body hair for a tabaxi. Marked as possible adepta hybrid, due to unusual phenotyping and social influence. If so, it might mark radical rearrangement of taxonomic classifications.
Jemkesh
Species: Aarakocra ( Falco Hominidae )
Gender: Male (unverified)
Features of note: Unusual phenotyping, pigeon-like, may provide further evidence for aarakocra reclassification.
Cliff
Species: Tabaxi ( Felis Hominidae )
Gender: Male (unverified)
Features of note: Unusual phenotyping balance shifted towards lupine features. Catnip experiments considered, but rejected on ethical lines.
Haliel
Species: Aasimar ( Adepta Celestus )
Gender: Male (unverified)
Features of note: Observations with adepta genus females indicates possibility of aasimar breeding cycles, akin to cervid rutting. Unlikely, but worth monitoring.
Telvar
Species: Half-Elf ( Adepta Gregaria)
Gender: Male (unverified)
Features of note: Observations with adepta genus females indicate possibility of half-elf breeding cycle mutation. Will be observed simultaneously to "Haliel" due to similar requirements. Potentially also attributable to adolescence.
